Author, Therapist and Alpha Woman In Christ, Cherita Houston

Cherita Houston is the founder of Independent Living After The Storm Transitional Living Program, a nonprofit organization for women and children. What began as a passion and a fire burning from within has turned into a reality. She lives and continues to serve in Chicago with her four boys.

Why do you do what you do?

I do what I do because it’s my purpose in life. It’s a calling, it’s my duty. I’m purposed to share my life experiences to help others along the way of this thing we call life.

What are some projects you are currently working on?

I am currently working on and nearing the end of my second book, seeking funding as well as a dwelling place for my nonprofit Independent Living After The Storm Transitional Program for Woman & Children (I.L.A.T.S.) www.independentlivingafterthestorm.us and launching my Life Coaching Program.

What are your goals for the short-term and long-term ?

My goals for short-term & long-term are to have my second book published and released by spring 2022, have my nonprofit funded and operating by the end of year as well as my Life Coaching Program, start writing my 3rd book as well as the T.V. Series that’ll be connected to it.

Who or what inspires you?

What inspires me are the obstacles and challenges I’ve faced in my life growing up and in my adulthood that I’ve faced & overcome as well as my four boys. I want them to be able to see that there’s no limit on what you can create if you put forth the effort no matter what life throws at you. You can!!

If you could change anything about your industry, what would it be?

If I could change anything about my industry it would be that we as a people would connect and share more instead of being closed off and selfish.

What do you plan to do once you cross the millionaire mark?

When I cross the millionaire mark I plan to continue to give back to the communities that are in need of the services that I provide. I plan to continue to invest in the people in the humanity.
